Dheer Rajput / Firozabad: The craze for fast food is quite visible among the youth. Crowds of people are seen at shops and carts from city to village to taste different types of fast food. In a village of Firozabad, a young man has been running a chowmein shop for many years, which has a different taste. People come to him from far away places to buy chowmein. This young man left his job as a labourer and started making fast food from a small shop and now his shop sells a lot. People from the city also come to him to eat chowmein. There is a lot of crowd at the shop in the evening. Due to which he is also earning a good income.
Chowmein is prepared using home-ground spices
While talking to Local 18, young Harishchandra, who lives in Nandpur village of Sirsaganj tehsil, said that he has been working in fast food for the last five years. Before this, he used to work as a labourer, but then he started the chowmein business. The chowmein prepared at his shop is made in a very pure way. Home-ground spices are used to prepare it. Apart from this, he fries the chowmein well in pure oil. Then he adds cabbage, onion, tomato etc. to the chowmein. This gives a different taste to the chowmein. The shopkeeper said that people from Shikohabad and Sirsaganj come to his shop from the city to the village to eat chowmein. Those who know about him and pass by here definitely eat his chowmein.
Plates are available for ten and twenty rupees
The shopkeeper said that chowmein is sold in large quantities at his shop. The price of a plate of chowmein ranges from ten rupees to twenty rupees. A small plate is sold for ten rupees and a big plate for twenty rupees. The chowmein available at the shop is prepared in a very simple way in which no impure items are added. The shopkeeper said that he sells chowmein worth one thousand to two thousand rupees daily in the village.
